Buddies Golf Trip Gift Ideas
We’ve organized an annual buddies trip for over ten years and like to give out some swag to commemorate the trip. It can be tough to keep coming up with good ideas and find options that don’t require order sizes of 50-100 items. This article covers some of the best golf trip gifts I’ve found.
Divot Tool
$11 – $30
One of the first items we did for our trips was a divot tool. These always come in handy, and if you make a cool, custom one, people will swap out their old one for one of these. We found a local vendor who custom-made ours, but you can find anything from a simple printed name to a custom wood logo tool like ours.
T-Shirts / Pull-overs / Polos
$20 – $120
Every year, we make a custom t-shirt for our trip. Some have the same logo but a different location and year, while others have a logo related to where we’re headed. You can make your own graphic, find some graphics online, use AI to generate something, or go on fiverr.com and have someone make one for you.
We’ve also done some polos and pullovers, which tend to be a little more difficult to get a style people like and find places without large quantity requirements, but you’ll find some options in our vendor list.
Hat
$20 – $35
Similar to the apparel above, you can make custom-printed hats with a logo and even personalized with each player’s name. We had a local vendor make our hats, but you can source these similarly to other apparel.
Yardage Book
$20 – $60
I don’t carry a yardage book, which might be a bit of a dated item, but it’s also something that most people probably don’t have and looks cool.
Headcovers
$30 – $100
You can get headcovers for putters, drivers, or fairway woods/hybrids with a custom-stitched logo. We made some putter covers, which can be a bit more complicated than the others because you need to track down if people have a blade or mallet-style putter. And if they have an odd-sized putter, it won’t work. The ones we got were ordered through our clubhouse (check with your pro if you have someone who is a member at a golf club) and are through AM&E with a magnetic closure, but covers can also be ordered online.
Golf Balls
$45 – $60 / dozen
You can order packages of 3 golf balls or boxes and then split the sleeves between your players. You can never go wrong with these as most people will use them, especially if you get decent balls.
Golf Towel
$15 – $40
This is another golf staple that, if you make something cool enough, people will swap out their typical towel with, at least occasionally.

Etsy | Divot tools, Yardage books, Headcovers, Glasses, Ball Markers, and more | An excellent place to buy custom pieces in limited quantities. |
Spreadshirt | T-Shirts, Polos, Clothing, Hats, Drinkwear, and more | Many items with no minimums. This has been my go-to t-shirt printing service. |
Custom Ink | T-Shirts, Polos, Clothing, Hats, Drinkwear, and more | A similar service to Spreadshirt that I’ve used multiple times. |
Merchology | T-Shirts, Polos, Clothing, Hats, Drinkwear, and more | Similar to the other two, this one tends to aim more at corporations, so they have more name brand gear and higher minimums, but you can still find great options here. |

Vice Golf | Custom Golf Balls | A great option for custom golf ball printing |
